Future Ready: Jurong Port's 5-year Strategic Plan
Jurong Port held its 5-year (2011-2015) Strategy Planning Workshop on 20 - 21 Sep at Raffles Marina. Nestled away in the western edge of Singapore, Raffles Marina played host to 30 members of the Jurong Port management team as they worked together to review the company's high-level strategic plan.
Led by Corporate Development, the Strategy Planning Workshop marked a major milestone in the transformation process of Jurong Port. Starting back in July, a number of staff had already been intimately involved in providing inputs for developing the 5 year plan. All this eventually culminated in the strategy plan that was presented to CEO and the participants of the workshop. Key outcomes from the strategy included:
- Setting clearer financial targets for the next 5 years
- Establishing domestic and overseas growth strategies & objectives
- Identifying the areas of core competencies that JP needs to be future-ready
- Enhancing our corporate & organisational structure to support future growth aspirations
With the high-level plan now being finalized and endorsed by JPPL EXCO, the next steps are to further refine the strategy and develop detailed implementation and communication plans. The strategy will be further translated into detailed work plans, KPIs, incentives, and budget for 2011, to align organizational-wide efforts to achieve our 5 year targets. By January 2011 (next Townhall), JP's 5-year Strategy will be unveiled and communicated to all staff. Please standby.
